If you ever happen to visit Maine, you will likely pass some sort of moving vehicle that has Duct Tape somewhere on its being. This is because the residents of Maine believe that anything can be fixed with duct tape. When something is falling off, falling apart, or just falling, we Mainers turn towards our handy roll of duct tape. If your fender is hanging loose from that fender-bender last week with the neighbors bike, DUCKT TAPE!!! If you have an unsightly tear in your jeans, DUCT TAPE!!! If your baby just wont stay put . . . you got it!!! DUCT TAPE!!!

Mild Form of Child Abuse? Naw!

Here in Maine, we are even encouraged to use duct tape and are REWARDED for finding new and creative uses for it. A local radio station offered a prize to the couple who wore the best duct tape outfit to Prom. Yes, that is accepted here. In fact, I believe that next year, I shall be participating in that. Money to do something fun and stupid. Usually, I don't get paid.

For my prom next year, I plan on embracing my inner Mainer and making a Duct Tape dress (maybe not with flames). Yeah, you heard right. Well, if I guess I should start now, what with all the design and fittings and well, everything else that goes into making an article of clothing out of a hardware supply.
